Osama Is Dead. So?

I woke up yesterday to the whole world rejoicing and saddened by the news that Osama Bin Laden was killed in an apparent gunfight with the US soldiers in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

Osama Bin Laden: The man who inspired - rightfully or otherwise - Muslims and created fear and hatred amongst the Americans.

I both admire and detest the man. He did fight for Islam and I have to give mad props to him for going against the combined American and NATO imperialists. But in the same token, I also have to criticize his methods and ways on how he chose to fight, which are non-Islamic, to say the least.

As a New Yorker at heart, I would never be able to forgive him for what he did on September, 2011.

But here's the deal. I have never hailed him as a hero because, while he was a devout and religious Muslim, he was nothing but a tool of the Americans since the Afghanistan war with the Soviets.

Many people in the know actually think the American government orchestrated the whole thing for various reasons, prominent amongst them is the right to invade Afghanistan and Iraq. The tragedy of 9/11 became the raison d'être to go to war with the aforementioned countries.

Moreover, the same people in the know have known for quite some time now that he has been dead. The fact that his body was not even shown adds credence to what these people have been saying, that he died some time ago. Do you really think the Americans wouldn't gloat if they have the chance? They would definitely show pictures of the dead Obama to the world if they could.

9/11 :-(

It is just the perfect timing to release the 'news' of his death, just as Barrack Obama is gunning for reelection. And come September, on the 10th anniversary of 9/11, wouldn't it be great to 'celebrate' the tragedy by knowing that the man responsible for instilling fear and hatred amongst Americans is finally dead?

Obama is dead. He's been dead for some time now. Does it still even matter?

Not to me.
