Welcome Home, Melo!

One of New York's basketball son has come home.

Yes, that kid from Brooklyn who led Syracuse to the NCAA Title as a freshman in '02-'03 and drafted by the Denver Nuggets as the 3rd overall in the 2003 Draft, is home.

Melo is gonna wear #7 for the NY Knicks :-)

Yes, that kid who was the franchise player of the Nuggets for years, and who is the main baller under the Jordan Brand, is home.

Finally, he's home.

The New York Knicks has always been my favorite team. They're underachievers, no doubt about that. But the Knicks are still my team.

Growing up in the Big Apple, they perennially went to the playoffs but never progressed far. With the Pistons and the Bulls, they were always kicked out of the playoffs; the only time they progressed was in 1994, the first time His Airness retired, but eventually lost to the Hakeem Olajuwon-led Houston Rockets.

I don't think they'll go far this year, either.

But getting Carmelo Anthony is a step towards the right direction. We already have Amare Stoudamire and with Melo, things are looking good. And if we get CP3 next year, we're well on our way to challenging the East powerhouses.

Welcome home, Melo.
