You Just Don't Know How To Quit, Do You?

I was on the phone with my headhunter yesterday and she informed me that my former organization is asking if I'm interested to rejoin them.

Honestly, I don't know.

Should I turn back time and consider going back?

All throughout my life, professionally and personally, I don't have the habit of 'looking back', 'nah mean? Once I've moved on, I usually don't go back to where I was; sure I do reminisce and look back from time to time but that’s as far as it goes, I don’t actually go back.

Off the cuff, right now, I know I don’t want to go back. Only after I get a confirmation - Yay or Nay - from the organization I had an interface with last week will I even entertain the thought of considering. My heart is still set on joining them and only till I hear something concrete would I then make a decision as to whether I would consider going back.

Yes, I usually don’t go back but as in life, there are exceptions.

I usually don't go back in my life. But there are exceptions...

My previous organization may not be an outright exception but there’s no harm in considering. After all, they are coming in with better remuneration offer from what I used to earn there and it may be the same company but the good thing is that it’s in a different location. If the offer was to be based in the same state, then I don’t even want to entertain the thought, let alone the possibility.

But again, only after I hear from the one I met last week. They’re supposed to get back to me sometime this month, so I’ma wait for that first before I consider my next move.
