RIP Manute Bol

Manute Bol, one of the tallest players in NBA history at 7 ft 7 in, died of Stevens-Johnson Syndrome at the age of 47.

A Sudanese, Manute was in the NBA for 12 years, moving from one team to another. On the court, the first thing that comes to my mind when Manute Bol is mentioned is his ability to shoot from the 3-point arc. For someone that tall, it's unheard of.

But what made Manute Bol a great person, to me, was his involvement in lots of charities back in Sudan and more recently, his fight against corruption. He practically dedicated whatever he earned in the NBA to helping his people.

Now, that's truly an inspiration.
