What Deliberation?

Come April 6, the new batch of basketball greats will be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame during the NCAA Final Four.

It was recently announced that one of the nominees is a dude called Michael Jordan.

He is one of 16 people that is nominated, together with David Robsinson and John Stockton. Oh, my main from the New York Knicks Bernard King is also one of the nominees.

Take note, he is nominated. That means, he is a candidate to be and needs at least 18 out of 24 votes from the Honors Committee to be inducted.

Let's stop for a moment and consider this: 6 NBA titles, 6 Finals MVP, 5 Regular Season MVP’s, 10 times Scoring Champion (7 consecutive times at that), Rookie of the Year in the ’84-85 season, NBA’s highest scoring average with 30.1 pg, most wins by any team in one season with 72-10 record, All NBA First-Team Defense 9 times, 2 Olympic Gold Medals in ’84 and ’92, 3 times MVP of the All-Star Game and the first to record a triple-double, just to name a few.

The Greatest Basketball Player. Ever. The global icon that saved the multi-billion company called Nike. The man that started the sneaker craze worldwide. The man who made Gatorade the drink. The man associated with the most famous sports logo in the world. And I could go on and on and on and on.

Are you fucking kidding me?

What deliberation?
