'The Answer' traded to the Nuggets

Allen Iverson, one of NBA's most popular player ever and my favorite besides MJ, has been traded to the Carmelo Anthony-led Denver Nuggets.

After playing for almost 11 years with the Philadelphia Sixers, the perennial All Star has been finally shipped out. AI or 'The Answer', as he is commonly known, is a barely 6-footer player but what he lacks in height, he makes up for it with his heart.

In every minute of every game - from his HS to his collegiate days with the Georgetown Hoyas to the NBA, AI always played with his heart out. He is continuously one of the top scoring players in the NBA and has been scoring champion 4 times.

I have always been a fan of AI; he is one of the gifted players I have ever seen and it only takes one game for anyone to see this guy's heart. Despite competing with players who dwarf him in every game, AI always comes out on top because he wholeheartedly believes in the game.

To be traded to a team that currently has the NBA's scoring leader in Melo, Denver has now the top 2 scorers in the league. It remains to be seen whether this trade would actually be positive, considering that both players are out and out scorers.

But having been a fan of 'The Answer' since his college days, and despite his off-court troubles in the past and considering that he is already 31 years old, I'm sure AI would have no problem sharing the load with Melo. Oh, I like Melo too; he is the only player who has his own signature line within the Jordan Brand :)

I am still and will forever be a New York Knicks fan but it is nice to know that my favorite player has now finally found a new home... His addition to the Nuggets roster will only help them become a better team and I am expecting the Nuggets to go far in this year's NBA playoffs.
